My husband lit the fireplace for the first time this morning and snapped this pic of baby GG. Doesn't she look all cozy and happy with her mismatched pj's and big ol' grin? She's only 18 months old, but she looks like such a big girl!
This is the first time in my life that I've ever had a fireplace and a mantle to decorate for Christmas!
I know it sounds silly, but it's always been a dream of mine to have a mantle to decorate and hang stockings from. And this year, my dream came true!
I decorated it with Christian themed items. The nativity, angels, a cross and of course "Santa" stockings...LOL. I think I need some poinsettias or something on the other side. But aren't real ones poisonous? That's ok, I prefer to use fake ones...that way I have them every year. I'll post more pics soon...still looking for my USB cable!
Happy Decorating!
Aww how sweet she is!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture and the fact that you got a fireplace too!
Very cozy!
We did too in our new house although it is from 1973 and it is electric and the little plastic thing rolls around to make it look oh so real! (said sarcastically)LOL :)
Real homey looking. Nice. Gabby looks Christmas happy! Ron.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty - the mantle and your sweet baby!
ReplyDeleteI love having a mantle too...it's so cozy at Christmas.
GG is so cute, and that is such a fun age! I have only had a fireplace and mantle for the past two years, and I love it!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had fun decorating...and yes there is something about having a mantel to decorate with. Nothing better than a roaring fireplace at this time of year either.
ReplyDeleteGG is adorable! Your decorations are lovely too. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWhen we first moved in our house it was the first time I've had a mantle to decorate also and I was SOOO excited about that!! Your little girl looks PRECIOUS - you should start a tradition and take a picture of her every Christmas with her sitting there in that spot. Have a great day ~ ♥
ReplyDeleteMissed matched jammies make her even cuter. We have a herth although not stoking it up today. We have another blistering day out there.
