St. Augustine, Summer 2009

The Howard Family Vacation 2009
The view from our room. That mist at the bottom is real! Beautiful!
Here are some pics of our recent vacation in St. Augustine, FL. I wrote more that was meant to go here, at the beginning, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to load my pics where I want them! So, if you want to read more about the trip, it's at the bottom. Otherwise, enjoy the pics of me, Baby GG, and DH! There were many more, but I either deleted them or was tired of loading them...oh well, I'll get the hang of this at some point!

It was hard to sleep in a single cab truck!

My favorite pic! So sweet!
The Commentary!
I've been so preoccupied with projects that I forgot to post our recent vacation pics to St. Augustine, FL. We love it there, and the Hampton Inn on A1A was awesome. We had the most incredible view from our room.

GG did awesome! She loved the sand and the ocean. She even stuck her tongue directly onto the beach! Nasty! I just prayed she didn't get sick from e-coli or some staph infection or something! She did get sick however (I believe) from our church's big BBQ/potluck the day we left. About 2 hours into the trip she started vomiting. This was strange because she never gets car sick. But it was gross and smelled horrible! It was all over her and the car seat. We stopped at some gas station/Huddle House in Ashville where I bathed her and washed her hair in the sink at 3 in the morning! She and I both got changed and we started off again. She was fine after that and never had another problem the whole week. She was so content to just play quietly in her pack and play when we had things we had to do around the room. She slept well and didn't fuss and was just a little sweetie! I'm gushing like this because I was totally worried about taking a baby on a long trip to the beach. I was afraid she'd hate it. But she was a joy and just made the trip that much more fun! It was a great vacation!

  1. hi angie!

    looks like a wonderful time!

thank you for the comment on my blog. the paint color on my bathroom walls is "blue mesa" from the ralph lauren vintage masters collection at home depot. (i think i had them mix it to their own brand of paint) it's a really pretty pale blue with almost a periwinkle hint. hope that helps!
