Wow!

After 7 months of blogging, I finally have 20 followers (well one of them is me from my other blog)!

It's funny because after just having my new blog one day, I had 13 friends like that!

I'm just gonna straight up ask. How do some of you have hundreds of followers? I do this for fun and all, but I do wonder why hardly anyone ever comments or follows. I try to network and all, but maybe I'm just doing something wrong.

If I read a blog even once, I'll go ahead and follow just for the heck of it...hoping that they return the favor. Some do, most don't.

So to all of you who do follow and keep up with me, I love you and thank you from the bottom of my heart! You are some amazing women (and Ron, aka " Former Donut Junkie," you're an amazing guy)!

I thank God for your friendship everyday!

Also, Michelle from "Somerset Cottage" is having a great giveaway...hurry and enter! She's drawing the winner on Thursday.

  1. I have wondered the same thing about those with so many followers. I don't think about it too much any more, but it always does do the heart good when someone takes the time to leave a comment. Hope your Tuesdays is beautiful Angie!

  2. I've had the same conversations with other blogging friends. We wonder why people look at our blogs but don't comment. I know people sometimes aren't interested in my genealogy things and I understand why one wouldn't comment on them but some of my posts are cute! lol I know that people do look at my blog because I have that little thingie on the side that tells me a round about area of where people are from who look at my blog.

I have noticed that some of the blogs that I follow that have well over 100 followers don't get many to any comments. I wonder about that. I do know that some people make people follow their blogs to enter a giveaway. I didn't do that. I don't want to make someone follow me to win a prize. I did my giveaway different from others. I didn't tell anyone I was having a giveaway and then after a few days of comments on my blog I entered only those who did comment so one of the people who actually endure reading my blog and take the time to comment actually won!

Did you get a lot of snow last night? They ended up cancelling school for the kids this morning after a 2 hour delay from last night. It is still snowing and we have around 5 inches of snow!

    Stay warm!

  3. Hi Angie ~ Now you have 21!!! Congrats!!!
I was just thinking about this same thing this morning.

The reason I began my blog is so that friends and family that are away can follow our adoption progress. Then we bought the house and I wanted them to see that too.

Then I began to get blog friends like yourself and was thrilled and so blessed!! Then I thought I needed to be something I wasn't... and worried about my house and my life and what I said etc...
It all got to be too overwhelming so now I think here is my blog and I am thrilled that people other than family follow it however I am not changing me... to get more followers.

I personally follow too many blogs in fact I have gotten the over the limit message a few times.
I decided today to stop following a few blogs because it really is much too much and I am finding that a few that I followed from the beginning have become very commercial and not home and decorating and family like they had been.
Okay I said enough I could have done a blog post LOL
    Be warm

  6. Hey Angie, I must be miss unpopular blogger b/c I only have 1 follower. of course my blog is basically about my family and such but I have thought the same thing before. You have over 20 and I think that is amazing!! I can't think too much about that kind of stuff or I start to get in a "funk" you know what I mean. Have a great week.
