HIP-HIP HOORAY!
We had been working on peeing in the potty all day (she's been doing this for a while now. It's amazing what new found control one has over this function when one realized that pee in a potty means a few M&Ms in hand!), so she was running around with no diaper because she has trouble with her pants and with underwear. Anyway, she was quietly sitting on the couch eating a snack of sliced strawberries, watching her new favorite show, "Bubble Guppies," and just quietly got up, walked over to her potty, sat down and went #2!!! I was so thrilled I could have peed my own pants!
I promised her that if she pooed in the potty that we would get her a Mickey Mouse doll from the Disney Store (because she loved them when she and her daddy were in there a while back). So we packed up, picked up daddy from work and all headed to the Disney Store for the Mickey Mouse doll. They were 2 for $15, so we also got her the Goofy, because she couldn't decide and loved them both!
Here she is with her little bag in hand,
in front of a big Mickey Mouse!
So excited and proud! We hope it continues...she could be potty trained by her third birthday! That would be a blessing!
Awww, that's so sweet!!! Go Gabby!
ReplyDeleteYay! And thanks for sparing us the picture, lol!
ReplyDeleteIt is always so exciting when they get potty trained. I remember using m&m's and stickers to motivate my boys. The second one was easier because he wanted to be a "big boy" like his brother.
